As an Associate Resources Representative, you will manage the associate resource functions in the assigned Operational Division to ensure Aaron’s is attracting, motivating and retaining a high-performing, diverse, and successful workforce. The position is responsible for coordinating recruiting efforts, handling employee relations issues, training, supporting recognition and rewards programs, implementing performance management systems, and helping create and maintain a positive working environment.
Providing total associate resource functional service to the client. Ensuring employment related policies, procedures and hiring guidelines are followed.
Communicating and coordinating the handling of associate issues and concerns to maintain a positive work environment. Advising and counseling management on various associate resource functions. Must have the ability to make fair and unbiased decisions based on the facts. Provide communications on policy and procedure initiatives.
Directs Associate Resources Recruiter to ensure staffing requirements in Division are met. Includes, traveling to areas in need of staffing to assist in recruitment efforts. Direct recruit applicants as needed to ensure high end applicant flow supports growth.
Train and monitor the use of Self-Service to ensure Associates are coded (LOA, terminations, suspensions) correctly. Assists other Support Center business partners in resolving discrepancies.
Support Performance Management program including performance and merit administration. Train and guide associates on career development program. Work with Management team to identify and develop talent.
Ensure proper administration/completion of hiring practices, onboarding program, benefits registration, and compliance classes.
Assists other Store Support teams in implementing AR related projects, programs, and other related activities.
3 years prior HR generalist experience in retail or similar industry
Experience with California HR Laws
Bachelor’s Degree or Associates Degree with 2 additional years of relevant experience.
SPHR certification a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to travel with little notice.
Familiarity for HRIS systems, preferably Ceridian and Taleo.
Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
