The Compliance Manager is responsible for working closely with the Store Support Center (SSC), Operations/Store Management team and franchisees to ensure compliance with company rules and regulations and regulatory standards. The Compliance Manager will determine benchmarks for all department activity and develop annual Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to reach annual group performance goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Director, Ethics, Compliance and Risk in developing and maintaining a compliance program that meets and/or exceeds the requirements of the USSG

  • Responsible for implementation and ongoing review / updates of the Code of Conduct document

  • Develops and conducts compliance training and evaluates training program for overall effectiveness

  • Monitors legal, regulatory and enforcement trends and calibrating ethics and compliance program accordingly

  • Develops metrics (KPIs) to determine compliance status

  • Works with SMEs on Compliance Management System (CMS)

  • Develops and maintains the compliance program plan and updates as required

  • Produces all compliance related communications and works with corporate communications to determine delivery method

  • Responsible for implementation of the 24 month compliance calendar

  • Managing integration of E&C programs with newly acquired businesses

  • Manage document retention (including email retention)

  • Develop and distribute the Company’s monthly compliance newsletter as well as the compliance intranet site

  • Plan and execute the Company’s Compliance Week program

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Management, or other related field

  • Seven (7) or more years of related work experience, to include demonstrated success in creating and implementing compliance initiatives and working collaboratively with internal customers

  • Compliance industry certification such as a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP®) or Governance, Risk and Compliance Professional (GRCP®)

  • Knowledge and understanding of major applicable regulations. Ability to analyze gaps and create programs to address.

  • Ability to interpret compliance regulations and apply to all levels of the business.
